In South Africa, corporate giving is one of the largest sources of funding for civil society. Exact! is actively involved in Corporate Social Investment (CSI) and has a clear and defined CSI strategy.
Exact! CSI Projects have included collaborative work with the following organizations:
Monkeybiz Monkeybiz is a non-profit organisation that created employment and empowerment for 450 disadvantaged women in Cape Town. Monkeybiz supply richly colored beads to women in the townships of Mandela Park, Khayelitsha and Phillipi. Each woman is paid for every item produced and since they work from home, can look after their families and avoid transport costs. Every beadwork produced is a one-off piece.
As part of our CSI awareness campaign Exact! displayed some merchandise incorporating Monkeybiz artwork.

Ikusasa Lami Exact! was selected as a representative for the Retail Industry in a national Corporate Social Investment programme. Ikusasa Lami is a programme which gives Grade 11 learners exposure to a career path which they might not have otherwise considered. This programme entailed having 28 learners in 14 of our Gauteng stores for a week. The learners completed tasks which gave them more understanding on what the different roles in the Retail Industry are. |
